They Live

The John Carpenter film "They Live" is one of the many campy 80's films in which I enjoyed growing up. I was asked to be a part of an art show back in CT. , and the theme was 80's Horror. So I decided to go with "They Live" as the basis for my piece. Unfortunately I have dropped the ball and have not finished the piece in time for the show. For now here is the WIP.

Nightmare Show

I was invited to be a part of the Nightmare Show which will be held at the Mac 650 Gallery in middletown.

The painting I am showing is one of the panels in which I created in order to complete my thesis project while working toward my MFA at the Hartford Art School. The painting is titled Tonsai bay, and is 24"x48" , Acrylic on Masonite.

The North End Artists Co-op Presents: NIGHTMARES!

It's that time of year...the leaves are beginning to turn and fade. Whether you celebrate Halloween, Dia De Los Muertos or Samhain, 'tis the season for masks, monsters, horror and ghosts!

What better way to celebrate than to explore the idea of 'Nightmares'? We all have them! Face your fears and join us at the MAC 650 Gallery where the walls will be covered with nightmarish works from various artists.

Meet the artists at the opening reception from 7-10pm on Friday October 1st. Live poetry readings, music from Rhythmic Circus, and more! Drinks and snacks will be provided for our guests. COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!

The exhibit will be displayed in the gallery for the month of October. The gallery viewing hours are 11-3pm Saturdays and Sundays.

The North End Artists Co-Op is dedicated to enriching the North End neighborhood of Middletown and surrounding areas through art. Support your local artists!
